Accepting Submissions: 2026
Stories grow in the in-between, where stillness lingers, and ideas have space to breathe. At Curious Moss, we follow that rhythm, letting each project emerge in its own season. We move at the pace of presence, choosing work that feels rooted, resonant, and necessary. Each project emerges slowly, like moss after rain, guided by intuition, deep listening, and a trust in the timing of things.
Curious Moss Publishing is an emergent hybrid micro-press. In the coming year, our focus will be on cultivating our first imprint, Secret Springs Press, a sacred publishing vessel for the undiluted transmissions of Sri Vidyā adept Mā Uma-Parvathi. As that vision takes form, we’ll also be building the infrastructure to begin working with authors across a broader range of genres and offerings.
We will begin accepting submissions in 2026.
Curious Moss Publishing is a home for the quietly radical, the liminal, and the transformative.
We are especially interested in work that:
-
Explores spiritual or philosophical transformation.
-
Challenges dominant cultural or social narratives.
-
Lives in the mystical, the subversively soft, the in-between spaces.
-
Tends to wonder/wander and reimagines the possible.
-
Speaks from the edges of systems, identities, and knowing.
We’re also looking to cultivate voices rooted in or connected to the landscapes and spirit of New Hampshire in the following areas:
-
Children’s books that nourish inner life, celebrate imagination, and offer new models of empathy and connection.
-
Zines that challenge convention, play with form, and speak from the heart of community and counterculture.
-
Poetry that stirs something deep.
Whether your work is a tender field guide to healing, a speculative story shaped by dreams, a zine that documents the unruly beauty of becoming, or a poetic excavation of the sacred, you are welcome here. We are drawn to voices that don’t fit easily into categories but speak deeply to this moment of cultural, spiritual, and ecological transformation.
